Having the bending and additional (machining) processing carried out by one party saves you valuable time and transport costs. There is one point of contact and the overall quality of bending and machining is guaranteed.
Kersten provides a total concept from advice to bending, machining and compiling a bent semi-finished product.
Cutting to size, drilling and milling
Cutting, drilling and milling takes place after bending the aluminium profile. Kersten has invested in advanced CNC machines for machining curved aluminium products.
Weather circumstances and contamination could cause corrosion. This is why it is important to apply a surface treatment to extend the lifetime of the aluminium. To prevent corrosion the surface can be treated by anodizing, painting or powder coating.
The choice of this depends on:
- The alloy of the aluminium
- Indoor or outdoor use
- Aesthetic requirements.
Thermal treatments such as soft annealing and aging of aluminium profiles can also be carried out by Kersten.
